Boise Burn 61 DAYTONA BEACH 34
Daytona Beach ThunderBirds QB Matt Bohnet passed for 266 yards and 4 touchdowns but was sacked 3 times and threw 2 interceptions as the Daytona Beach ThunderBirds dropped their home contest 61-34 to the visiting Boise Burn. The crowd of  2,012 watched Boise QB Royal Gill complete 15 of 24 passes for 196 yards and four touchdowns as Boise rebounded from last week's loss to the Spokane Shock.   The ThunderBirds were trying to win their third game in a row after knocking off the Manchester Wolves and Albany Conquest in the last two weeks.  This loss will drop the ThunderBirds to 2-6 on the season and 2-4 under Head Coach Gary Compton.
Daytona Beach WR Jeremy Grier caught seven passes for 98 yards and one touchdown for the ThunderBirds (2-6), who seemed to struggle offensively with penalties and missed opportunities.  Ahmad Harris led the Burn with four catches for 62 yards and four touchdowns.  Daytona Beach went into the half down 28-14 and never seemed to get in sync in the second half. The Boise defense was lead by Levi Madarietta who recorded a sack and had pressure on Matt Bohnet all game.  This was the first meeting between the two franchises.  The Burn will be at home against Central Valley next week and Daytona Beach will be on the road against Corpus Christi. Score by Quarters                1          2          3          4            ScoreBoise Burn                                 7       21         19        14           61         Record: (4-2)Daytona Beach ThunderBirds    7       7        14       6          34       Record: (2-6) LEADERS:PASSING: BOHNET (DAT) 19-40-266-2 INT (4 TD passes); GILL (BOI): 15-24-196-0 INT (5 TD passes) RECEIVING:  GRIER (DAT) 7-91-5; HARRIS (BOI) 4-62-3
